Downloading in PNG, SVG, and PDF

Unqode SmartQR exports your QR codes in three formats. Choosing the right format depends on how and where you'll use the code.

PNG — best for digital use

PNG is a raster (pixel-based) format. It's perfect for websites, social media, email, and any screen use. When printing from PNG, use a high resolution — we export at 1000×1000px by default, which prints crisply up to about 10 cm × 10 cm at 300 DPI.

⚠️ Avoid scaling a PNG up significantly beyond its native resolution — it will appear blurry when printed large. Use SVG for large-format printing.

SVG — best for print

SVG is a vector format. It scales to any size — from a business card to a billboard — with zero quality loss. Always use SVG for print materials, signage, or anywhere the QR code will be reproduced at different sizes.

SVG download is available on Pro and Business plans.

PDF — for document embedding

PDF format is useful when embedding the QR code inside a print-ready document or sharing it as a standalone file. Like SVG, it's vector-based and scales without quality loss.

PDF download is available on Pro and Business plans.

How to download

  1. Open the QR code from your dashboard.
  2. Click the Download button.
  3. Select PNG, SVG, or PDF from the dropdown.
  4. The file downloads immediately to your device.
💡 For print agencies and designers, always send SVG. It gives them full control over size and colour reproduction.
