Terms of Service

By creating a Unqode SmartQR account, you agree to these terms. If you're using Unqode SmartQR on behalf of an organisation, you're agreeing to these terms on that organisation's behalf, and confirming you have the authority to do so.

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at hello@unqode.com. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Unqode SmartQR.

You can use Unqode SmartQR for any lawful purpose. You can create QR codes linking to your websites, products, menus, contact details — anything you legitimately own or have permission to share.

You may not use Unqode SmartQR to create QR codes that link to illegal content, phishing sites, malware, or anything designed to deceive or harm others. You may not use Unqode SmartQR to harass, stalk, or harm any person.

You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse Unqode SmartQR's infrastructure. Accounts found in violation of these terms will be suspended without refund.

You own everything you create with Unqode SmartQR. We don't claim any rights over your QR code content, designs, or data. By using Unqode SmartQR, you grant us a limited licence to host and serve your content to people who scan your QR codes — that's all.

We aim for 99.9% uptime and typically achieve it. However, we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. We'll tell you about unplanned outages as soon as we know about them.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a core feature that your paid plan depends on, we'll give you at least 30 days notice and offer a prorated refund.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Annual plans are paid upfront and are non-refundable unless we discontinue the service. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time and access continues until the end of the billing period.

If you believe you've been charged incorrectly, contact billing@unqode.com within 30 days of the charge.

Unqode SmartQR is provided "as is". We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Unqode SmartQR — including business loss from QR code downtime, missed scans, or data loss.

Our liability to you in any calendar year is capped at the amount you paid us in that year.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you're an EU consumer — in which case local consumer protection laws also apply.

We'll give you at least 30 days notice before any material change to these terms takes effect, by email and in-app notification. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
