Cancelling or downgrading your plan

You can cancel your plan at any time from your account — no need to contact support. Your data is never deleted — QR codes above the free plan limit are paused, not removed, and can be reactivated by upgrading again.

How to cancel

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Cancel subscription in the Manage Subscription section.
  3. Confirm — you'll keep Pro/Business access until the end of your current billing period, then move to Free automatically.

What happens when you downgrade to Free

  • QR codes above the 3-code free limit are paused (not deleted)
  • Pro-only QR types (Landing Page, App Store, Coupon, etc.) are also paused
  • Analytics history is trimmed to the last 7 days in the UI (data is retained)
  • Monthly scan tracking limit drops back to 500 scans/month
  • Pro features (password, expiry, UTM, logo, frames) become read-only on existing codes

Re-upgrading after a downgrade

If you upgrade again, all paused QR codes are automatically reactivated and all features are restored. Nothing is permanently lost by downgrading.

Cancelling entirely

If you cancel and don't downgrade to Free, your account will remain accessible but QR codes will become inactive. To delete your account entirely, email hello@unqode.com.
