Frame styles and CTA text guide

Frames add a visual border and call-to-action text around your QR code — making it more eye-catching and telling people what to do. Studies show that QR codes with CTA text get scanned significantly more than those without.

Available frame styles

  • None — bare QR code, no frame (default)
  • Simple — clean rectangular border with text below
  • Rounded — rounded corners frame with text below
  • Speech bubble — text in a bubble above the code
  • Badge — bold bordered frame with prominent text

CTA text best practices

  • Keep it short — 2 to 4 words maximum
  • Use action verbs: "SCAN ME", "SCAN TO ORDER", "GET OFFER", "WATCH VIDEO"
  • Be specific: "BOOK A TABLE" outperforms "SCAN HERE"
  • Match the frame text to what the user will find after scanning

Frame colour and text colour

Both the frame background colour and the CTA text colour are fully customisable using the colour pickers. Match your brand colours for a professional, cohesive look.

💡 For restaurant menus: "SCAN TO ORDER". For business cards: "SAVE MY DETAILS". For product packaging: "SEE HOW IT WORKS". Specific CTAs consistently outperform generic ones.
